To be loved but not known is comforting but superficial. To be known and not loved is our greatest fear. But to be fully known and truly loved is, well, a lot like being loved by God. It is what we need more than anything. It liberates us from pretense, humbles us out of our self-righteousness, and fortifies us for any difficulty life can throw at us..

Elizabeth Branham Rodgers, known affectionately as Betsy or Bets to her friends and family, is a long time Jacksonville resident. She’s a teacher, pastor and counselor who uses her gifts, skills and experience to work with others to help them become the people that God created them to be.

Betsy holds Masters degrees in Counseling and Biblical Studies from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. She loves to combine her two passions of psychology and theology and help bridge the gap between the church and mental health.

Betsy is no stranger to pain and depression and has traveled her own journey through counseling. Because of this, she knows what it's like to feel overwhelmed and hopeless but also knows what it feels like to taste goodness and see redemption in her own story. Her experience as a pastor also gives her extra empathy for the struggles that those in pastoral ministry face. Betsy recently relocated from Sydney, Australia where she and her husband lived with their daughter.
